Becca has been working with students since 2012, and young adults since 2016. She was married in 2016 to her husband Corey, and became an ordained minister in 2021. She got her Bachelor's Degree in Ministry Leadership from Moody Bible Institute, after studying Psychology and Human Development at Ohlone Community College. This Bay Area Native has a passion for helping students and Young Adults navigate life through relational ministry and contextually analyzing scripture together.
Outside of hanging with students old and new, Her favorite pastimes include: trying new foods, watching scary movies, football viewing parties, and traveling anywhere. Naps, coffee, and tacos also are included in that list.

Elaine and Bruce Choy - ESL instructors - Elaine and Bruce have recently retired and are spending their spare time on small projects around their home and playing with their grandsons. Elaine taught for 26 years and prior to that was a Human Resource officer for Wells Fargo Bank. Bruce was a partner in a law firm specializing in workers compensation and later branched out to Trusts and Estate. Most recently he worked for Veterans Services for Alameda County, retired, and has been called back to a part time position there. The Choys have been members of the Fremont Community Church family for 30 years serving in different volunteer capacities. They have 2 adult children who have families of their own.

Stephanie has been an active member of Fremont Community Church since 1982. Although recently retired, she comes with a diverse background as an elementary and middle school teacher, an educational therapist for the learning disabled, and a K-8 school administrator. She is the proud parent of her ever expanding family from her two married sons and wives, her four-month old grandson, Hudson and a new grandbaby due in February 2022. Her youngest son is currently in Korea serving as a Physician Assistant in the US Army. Her passions are working with kids who struggle to learn, and most recently being a grandmother. She and her husband are also hoping to resume their passion for travel post pandemic.

Gary has been married to Stephanie for almost 41 yrs and has been an optometrist in Union City for 43 years. He is currently transitioning into retirement and looking to see how he can serve our community in a more significant way. He and Stephanie are Bay Area natives and Gary is a 5th generation Chinese-American in California. Both his and Stephanie’s family immigration stories are quite interesting and they would be happy to share them if you are interested! He is pretty much monolingual in English but knows more Spanish and Farsi words than he does Chinese words!

Anita is a dedicated Fremont resident with her husband and 2 daughters. She grew up in the Fremont area and is excited to take a small part of investing in the next generation! Anita has a passion for teaching and having a ton of fun while learning! She has taught English and Storytelling in Hong Kong to children ages 3-12. Her background is in corporate recruiting in the Technology Industry including LinkedIn, Facebook, Tesla, and Google. Graduated from Santa Clara University, BA in Communications.

Adrianne Hays has been teaching science to homeschool students for the past 6 year and more recently to students online from all over the world. She is the mother of two children (Kendall -13 and Kieran - 11). Adrianne worked as a Child Life Specialist at a hospital in Cleveland, OH before staying home with her kids. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development. Adrianne loves connecting with students and helping to inspire an early love of science. Adrianne recently moved to the Bay Area from Chicago and has been attending Fremont Community Church since August of 2021. She loves exploring the Bay Area especially museums and beaches.

Kendall Hays is a 7th grader who loves to learn. Kendall has been serving in the Kid’s Ministry at church for the past two years and helps spend time with younger children while their parents participate in ESL classes at Fremont Community Church. This past summer, Kendall taught science to elementary students at her church’s summer camp. She is excited to pass on her love of learning to younger students.
